Day 28-6/29/07 cheyenne

We woke up at 5 am to a warm breakfast cooked by the Laramie bike club, it was great. Omelets and breakfast burritos an
d fruit. The ride started out great until we got to the pass we had to cross... 6 miles at a 6% grade, but once we got to the top it was more or less downhill. It was kind of a humbling ride because Laramie bike club members rode along with us, Marc and I rode with a woman around 60 years old and I was pushing up that hill nearly as fast as I could go. Once at the top it was more or less down hill we only had 35 miles from the top but it seemed to drag on forever.

We had our first fully organized arrival led by police, which is always fun because its the only time we get to run red lights and disobey traffic laws. We were led to a park where we were met by the ARC of Laramie county and the Laramie Cowbells, which is a division of the Wyoming Cattle Women's Assoc. The lunch was excellent and we were read a proclamation from the governor declaring June 29th Push America day in Wyoming. After we finished lunch we rode to Laramie County Community College where we showered and hung out until dinner, which was at the same place with the same people. After dinner we headed out to see the night life, ended up at the Outlaw Saloon. It was a good time, a country western bar with a live country band, line dancing and a ton of cowboy hats. They looked at us pretty funny when we walked in, but didn't give us any trouble like the taxi driver said they would. We all left at the same time and headed back for bed.
